Chuck the chicken!

On Monday for Kiwi Can we saw Katie and Nathan in the hall waiting for Mrs McGuinniety.

First we sat in a circle and we talked about what we did in the weekend. I told Nathan and Katie that Tyrese got a gold medal from the parents and a medal from the couch. We played chuck the chicken.

We split the group in half so there are two groups. Then we got into the game called Who ever had the cow and Nathan said chuck the chicken that person would chuck the chicken.

Next  we swapped and the group who was in a circle with Nathan they had to stand and try and get the cow and the people who were standing up and trying to get the cow they had to go in the circle with Nathan.

Then we changed the rules where the group was trying get the cow they had to do under arm and over arm throws. The other group had to run as fast as they can around the roundabout circle. We saw who was the last person to get around the circle.

Christian through the chicken out the huge clear white window. One person had to run and get the chicken from outside and come back inside and go in a line. The people who were standing up they were saying chuck the chicken.

I love playing that game because we got to change the rules around and it was silly when christian throw the cow out the window. That was weird I thought that it will be a chicken not a cow that sounded like a pig.

summer and the rich family

One day  there was a little girl called summer.Summer  lived with her mother, a baby lamb.Her mother said take the lamb for a walk to the market please and trade the cow please  summer so summer listened to her mother.summer was at the market and her friend came up to her and said what cute lamb you have got there.Summers friends name was Lisa. Lisa was with her mum at the market but Lisa's mum was getting Lisa a ice cream  is well as summer.Then a lady came up to summer and said my name is Cara and my name is summer.If you give me that lamb I  will give you 100.000 dollars okay now I better go home back to my mother because she doesn’t want me to be in the spooky night in case someone will seale me and my mum will be worried and my mum doesn’t me to get lost neither does my dad so I better get so do I because I better make my dinner.good bye see you next time. Mum mum look we are rich we have got 100.000 dollars who did you get it from Cara your friend.Oh yeah will when dad comes home tell dad that we are rich.Dad finishes work  at 6.00 clock.so now it is 4.00 clock……...Dads home dad dad we are rich mum told me to trade the lamb so I did and guest what I got 100.000 dollars from Cara mum’s friend remember oh yeah I can remember her from last  year.honey would you like some potato and roast.Yes please.Thank you baby………………………………..The end

Nyesha's Persuasive writing

I believe people should not bring scooters to school only when you are going to school and if it is wheels day.

Scooters are fun to play on but people can’t control their scooters and scooters are dangerous. When scooters go fast the solid metal on the scooter could injure the rider or someone who is looking. The small children who are not watching the rider that is riding the scooter are in danger.

The scooters dominate the playground because they need lots of room to go fast and over jumps. Other organised games need room too like netball and hockey. If the scooters are using the same part of the playground these games get interrupted.

Scooters are a really dangerous sport. The rider can lose control of their scooter and it could hurt little kids who are watching. Often kids do not wear safety gear because they can’t be bothered or it might take too long to put it on. The rider learns a lot of tricks and jumps and other things with their scooter that means the rider will hit someone.

I believe that scooters should be banned from the playgrounds.

FUN DAY TUESDAY

On Tuesday Mr Breach’s maths group went to Kiwi Can. We had to walk all the way down  to the hall. When we got into the hall Riki  and Katie asked us to go into four lines. Then they asked  what we did during  the weekend or in the classroom. Before we did  we did the catchphrase. Then we got into a game called Dino Ball. If you don't catch the ball and fall over onto the ground and pretend to  die. You had to catch with three fingers Nikora won because he threw the ball   Mr  Breachers legs. Then we play another game we had  to get into a group and decided if they were a role model or not a role model or if you don´t know. Then we got into GKQ. Then we did points. Mr Breach gave us 3 and a half points and Katie gave us 8 points and then Riki gave us 5 and a half points. Then we went back to class and we played a game in class it was called Around The World Talia was beating everyone but when talia got up to Natalia, Natalia just bet her.Natalia went next time because we had no more time left and then we went to morning tea. Then after play we did reading and we did writing and we had to write about Kiwi Can.

I love Kiwi Can because I was excited.
